Presented by The Storefront Theatre
February 11-22, 2015
As Toronto’s hottest Indie Theatre Company, Red One Theatre Collective's productions have dominated theatre critics' year end top ten lists including The Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, and NOW magazine. ROTC kicks off 2015 with this smoldering classic that promises to deliver more top notch entertainment.
Dora-nominated actor and rising director, Jakob Ehman, mounts Christopher Hampton’s powerful study of seduction, betrayal, and sexual politics in a production that brilliantly weds Rock and Roll with Rococo.
Vicomte de Valmont is a self styled Libertine confident he can seduce any woman into bed until he meets the pious Madame de Tourvel. A bet has been made between Valmont and the Marquise de Merteuil, a powerful widow who is the most feared and coveted woman in all of France. If Valmont can succeed in seducing the saintly Tourvel, Merteuil will be his for a single night.
